Wow! Our hotel suggested this venue for our first night in La Spezia. We were so overjoyed that we decided to dine at Trattoria da Sandro for all of our meals during our stay.
For the three of us, are most expensive meal was 57 euros. It included a litre of house red wine, a calamari salad, one pizza, cutlet with fries, one salad along with table bread. The table bread was so good! Whether it be the house made focaccia or their brown bread. I'm not sure why its getting mediocre reviews, this place is great. Great food choices and reasonable prices. It is in an L shape and lacks curb appeal, but we had a great time there. If you look around the corner in the side street/alley, you will see the excellent outdoor patio, which I think is preferable to the inside spaces. Arrivés par hasard nous y reviendrons sans faute. Ambiance à la fois cosy et familiale. Les plats sont savoureux et le rapport qualité prix incroyable. Il y a aussi beaucoup de locaux, c'est un signe. Bravo et merci à toute l'équipe.

Il locale è molto grande e ha un menù estremamente interessante nonostante non siano tantissimi piatti, ma sono comunque sapori molto ricercati con un'attenzione notevole ai dettagli e al gusto. Siamo tornati una seconda volta perché ci era piaciuto davvero tanto e sono stati tanto gentile da accertarci nonostante fossero praticamente le 11 di sera. La prima volta ho preso con un mio amico i muscoli ripieni e la tartare di tonno come antipasti, i ravioli ripieni di branzino e gli spaghetti alle acciughe e pomodorini, devo dire davvero buoni, forse agli spaghetti avrei preferito un filo di sale in più ma è a mio gusto. I ravioli davvero eccezionali. La seconda svolta invece come antipasto il polpo su crema di patate che era davvero fenomenale, mi ha colpita l'attenzione a mettere qualche carotina alla julienne che dava un sapore in più, un vero tocco di classe. Per primo invece le penne agli scampi e burrata, per i quali sono stata felicissima di scoprire che non hanno utilizzato panna ma piuttosto hanno sfruttato il siero della burrata per renderli cremosi. La vera chicca del piatto però sono stati i pomodorini freschissimi, spadellati leggermente che davano un sapore di casa che nei ristoranti non trovo praticamente mai e che invece gusto solo quando mia nonna mi prepara la pastasciutta al sugo.
Il personale è gentilissimo, il servizio veloce ed efficiente, i prezzi sono giusti. Se ricapiteró a La Spezia ci tornerò sicuramente.Traduzione
The restaurant is very large and has an extremely interesting menu, despite not having a huge selection of dishes. However, they are still very refined, with remarkable attention to detail and flavor. We returned a second time because we really enjoyed it, and they were kind enough to check in even though it was practically 11 p.m. The first time, I ordered stuffed mussels and tuna tartare as appetizers, along with the sea bass-filled ravioli and spaghetti with anchovies and cherry tomatoes. I have to say, they were truly delicious. Perhaps I would have preferred a touch more salt on the spaghetti, but that's just my taste. The ravioli were truly exceptional. Our second appetizer was octopus on creamed potatoes, which was truly phenomenal. I was struck by the attention to detail in julienned carrots, which added extra flavor—a truly classy touch. For our first course, we had penne with scampi and burrata, for which I was delighted to discover they didn't use cream, but rather used the burrata's whey to make it creamy. The real highlight of the dish, however, were the incredibly fresh cherry tomatoes, lightly sautéed, which gave it a homey flavor that I almost never find in restaurants and that I only enjoy when my grandmother makes me pasta with tomato sauce. The staff is incredibly kind, the service is fast and efficient, and the prices are fair. If I ever return to La Spezia, I'll definitely be back.
Sehr flotte Bedienung. Gemütliches, authentisches Ambiente. Man hat sowohl bei der Pizza als auch bei der Lasagne gemerkt, dass es hochwertige Produkte sind. Die Pizzen waren für den Preis sehr gut und groß. Das Tiramisu war ebenfalls sehr lecker.

Wir haben in unserem Kurzurlaub 2x dort gegessen. Sehr netter Service und gute Qualität. Hier bereitet der Chef das Essen noch selbst zu. Wenn man vor 20.00 Uhr dort isst, gibt's kaum Platzprobleme. Ein reines Familienunternehmen.
